Security Notice to the Public Seeking Services in the Consular Building

All visitors must be screened prior to entering the Consular building and are subject to inspection via walk-through metal detector and a hand-held metal detector. All personal items will undergo full inspection by use of x-ray and other detection equipment.

Any visitor refusing to submit to security screening shall be prohibited from entering the Consular building.

The following items are prohibited inside the Consular building:

  • Food and beverages
  • Weapons or tools of any kind
  • Electronic or recording equipment of any kind to include laptops, cell phones, tape/CD/MP3 players, pagers, keyless remotes, etc.
  • Backpacks, bags, luggage, large purses, oversized strollers, etc. (Since there is no storage space available in the Consular building, please leave these items at home, your hotel, or make other arrangements).

Visa Applicants

Due to limited space, the large volume of applicants, and the time required for entry security screening, visa applicants may only bring ONE person to help if they are elderly, disabled, or if the applicant is a minor child applying for a visa.
