The Information Resource Center
The Information Resource Center is part of the Office of Public Affairs and provides information about the United States in different areas of expertise. The Center aims to serve public administrations, private institutions, non-governmental organizations, journalists, academicians, researchers, companies and professionals and gives information about the following specific subject areas related to the United States:
- Politics and Culture
- Economy and Commerce
- International Relations, Security and Defense
- Civil Society and Human Rights
- Environment and other topics related to Health
The Information Resource Center includes an up-to-date reference collection (encyclopedias, directories, yearbooks, handbooks), government documents and think tank reports. The IRC also subscribes to a group of interesting reports published in the U.S., and has a powerful set of online electronic databases.
For specific information, please send queries addressed to Information Resource Center at e-mail ircrome@usembassy.it or fax them to 06.4674.2701. The request should include the name, institution (if available), phone and fax numbers of the requestor plus a clear description of the specific information requested. The response will be sent by e-mail or fax, as appropriate.
